FAQs

  • Where are you located? Do you offer virtual sessions?

I offer virtual therapy for clients anywhere in Colorado. My in-person availability is limited and primarily reserved for clients near Denver. Most families find the flexibility of virtual care supportive to their schedules and needs. While I prefer facilitating EMDR reprocessing sessions in person, I was trained to facilitate the protocol virtually, and I can be flexible to accommodate your needs and preferences.

  • Do you accept insurance?

Yes, I currently accept Colorado Medicaid. I also offer a limited number of affordable self-pay options for individuals, couples, and families.

  • Are you accepting new clients?

Yes, I’m currently accepting new Medicaid clients and have limited space available. When my schedule fills, I’ll be happy to place you on a short waitlist or connect you with another trusted provider.

  • What are your hours?

I offer a mix of daytime, evening, and some weekend availability. I also reserve a few spots each week for individuals and families with complex scheduling needs.

  • What is your cancellation or rescheduling policy?

Please give at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations. Late cancellations or no-shows may be subject to a fee, though I understand life happens—and we’ll always have room for honest communication.

  • This is a frequently asked question?

It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

  • Are you a licensed therapist?

I’m a counseling intern working under licensed supervision, with an expected graduation in December 2025. I receive weekly consultation to ensure high-quality, ethical care. Clients often value the thoughtfulness and fresh perspective I bring at this stage of practice. I hold a master’s in public health and have over 10 years of experience supporting this population.

I support teens, young adults, families, and couples navigating trauma, mental health challenges, identity shifts, and recovery from self-harm or substance use. Many of my clients are working through family conflict, chronic stress, or disconnection during major life transitions. I also work with couples facing challenges with communication, intimacy, or betrayal trauma.

  • What are your specialties?

I specialize in trauma-informed care, EMDR, DBT, CBT, and relational-cultural therapy. I often support clients in building emotional regulation skills, improving communication, setting healthy boundaries, and healing patterns rooted in family dynamics or past pain.

  • What is your approach to therapy?

Therapy with me is collaborative and relational. I value honesty, warmth, and curiosity. We might use practical skills (like from DBT or CBT), go deeper through EMDR, ego state interventions, and IFS - or simply hold space to explore your story, grief, or goals. You set the pace—we walk together.

  • What happens in the first few sessions?

Before we begin, we’ll have a free 15-minute consultation call to make sure we’re a good fit. If it feels right, we’ll schedule an intake session to dive in together.

In your first session, we’ll explore what’s bringing you to therapy and begin getting to know your story. I’ll ask questions to understand your current challenges, history, and goals. Together, we’ll start creating a treatment plan that feels supportive and aligned with your needs.

For clients interested in EMDR, we’ll move at your pace. Some people begin resourcing and preparation within the first couple sessions, while others spend more time building trust, safety, and emotional regulation skills before we begin reprocessing. I also use parts work (like IFS) and ego state techniques to support clients who may need more time before EMDR feels appropriate. Every step is collaborative and centered on your readiness.

  • Do you offer services for court-mandated clients?

Yes, I do work with court-mandated clients on a case-by-case basis. My approach focuses on building trust, addressing the underlying issues that led to the referral, and supporting long-term healing and growth. While I do not provide forensic evaluations or formal legal reports, I am committed to helping clients engage meaningfully in the therapeutic process and meet their treatment goals.

  • What if I’m in crisis or need support outside of session hours?

While I care deeply for my clients, I am not available for emergency or crisis support. If you're in crisis, please contact Colorado Crisis Services at 1-844-493-8255 or text “TALK” to 38255. You can also go to your nearest emergency room.
