Hi, I’m Iya. 💛
I'm an EMDR-trained counseling intern and public health professional offering trauma-informed therapy for teens, young adults, and families.
My background includes over a decade in education, mentoring, and community wellness work. I bring a steady, relational presence for those navigating life transitions, recovery, and emotional overwhelm.
Who I Work With
I support individuals and families recovering from trauma, self-harm, substance use, and relational conflict.
Many of my clients are managing anxiety, school or work stress, identity shifts, or strained family dynamics.
They often come to therapy feeling stuck—and ready for change. Clients often say they leave sessions feeling more safe, hopeful, or understood, even after the first few sessions.
My Approach
Our work together will be collaborative, compassionate, and paced to fit your needs.
I draw from EMDR, DBT, RCT, and Narrative Therapy, integrating mind-body techniques with a focus on emotional regulation, self-understanding, and healing long-standing patterns.
My Background
I hold a Master of Science in Rural Community Health and, I am currently completing my clinical internship, with graduation expected in December 2025. I am supervised by Jessica Taylor, LPC.
My work is guided by cultural humility, integrity, and deep respect for your lived experience.
Let’s Work Together
If you're seeking clarity, healing, or a sense of connection in your life or relationships, I’d be honored to walk alongside you.
