Healing for Teens & Families,

Rooted in Compassion and Connection

Take a minute to write an introduction that is short, sweet, and to the point.

Meet Iya.

I'm a therapist-in-training with EMDR certification, offering compassionate support to individuals, teens, and families across Colorado. With over a decade of experience in teen and family care, I specialize in helping clients work through recovery, disconnection, and emotional overwhelm. My background in public health, education, and mental wellness shapes a grounded, relationship-focused approach that respects and holds space for the full depth of your story.

I offer EMDR-informed therapy to teens, individuals, and families across Colorado. My clinical training is supported by more than 10 years working with youth and families facing trauma, overwhelm, and relational disconnection. With a background in public health and education, I take a trauma-sensitive, relational approach that embraces each person’s story with empathy, curiosity, and care—creating a space where healing and reconnection can begin.

Compassionate Support for Your Healing Journey

You deserve a space where your story is heard and your healing feels possible. Whether you're processing trauma, working through grief, or supporting a teen through life’s challenges, I’m here to walk alongside you. Therapy with me is collaborative, grounded, and paced with intention—always centered on your unique needs. This is a place for you or your family to reconnect with yourselves and each other, to find clarity amidst the confusion, and to move gently toward growth and healing. Together, we’ll create a space built on safety, trust, and deep care—where real, lasting change can begin.

In a world that often asks you to keep going, even when you're hurting, you deserve a space to slow down and feel supported. Whether you're facing emotional burnout, relational disconnection, or guiding a teen through difficult seasons, I’m here to offer steady support. Therapy with me centers your voice, your rhythm, and your values. This is a space to untangle what feels stuck, rebuild what’s been lost, and move gently toward what feels right for you. Together, we’ll create a space rooted in warmth, safety, and meaningful change.

You don’t have to carry this alone. We’ll work together to understand what your child is going through—and help your family reconnect in the process.

A Place to Feel Heard, Held, and Healed

You deserve a space that welcomes your full self—your grief, your overwhelm, your hope, and your healing. Whether you're navigating the deep impact of trauma, rebuilding after loss, or supporting a teen through emotional struggles, this is a place where you don’t have to carry it all alone.

As an EMDR-trained therapist-in-training with over a decade of experience working with teens and families, I offer therapy that is collaborative, relational, and attuned to your unique path. Our work together will unfold at a pace that honors your process, your boundaries, and your strengths. Here, you’ll find room to reconnect—with yourself, your loved ones, and the things that matter most.

This isn’t about fixing you—it’s about walking with you as you make sense of your story, gently release what no longer serves you, and build a life rooted in clarity, meaning, and connection. In this space, healing is not rushed—it’s respected, supported, and deeply held.

FAQs

  • I support teens and young adults navigating the lasting impact of trauma — including abuse, neglect, community violence, or medical trauma. My approach is trauma-informed and paced with care, helping clients feel safe, seen, and empowered in their healing.

  • Many of the teens I work with struggle with overwhelming emotions that show up through self-harm, eating struggles, or shutdown. I use practical, evidence-based tools to help them build new coping skills and strengthen their ability to regulate emotions.

  • I specialize in working with teens who feel anxious, down, disconnected, or unsure of who they are. Therapy creates space for them to slow down, be honest, and reconnect with their sense of self — without pressure or judgment.

  • I also work with caregivers who want to show up differently for their teens. Together, we explore ways to create healthy boundaries, reduce conflict, and build stronger communication — even when things feel messy.
