You've Been to Therapy Before. But You're Still Hurting.
EMDR therapy helps you heal the deep wounds traditional talk therapy couldn't reach.
You've Done the Work. So Why Do You Still Feel Stuck?
Maybe you've been in therapy for months—or even years. You've talked through your childhood, your relationships, your trauma. You've filled journals, learned breathing exercises, practiced mindfulness.
And still…
The past haunts like it’s now—memories vivid, inescapable.
Your body aches: panic, tight chest, constant alert.
The mind knows rest, but the body won't allow it.
Coping helps daily stress but not the deep pain beneath.
You’re stuck, progress has been made but healing is still out of reach.
You're tired of talking about your trauma without ever moving through it.
Here's what makes EMDR different:
It works with your brain's natural healing process
Trauma gets "stuck" in your nervous system. EMDR uses bilateral stimulation (like eye movements) to help your brain reprocess traumatic memories so they lose their emotional intensity.
You don't have to talk through every detail
You won't be forced to relive your trauma over and over. EMDR allows healing to happen without lengthy, painful storytelling.
It targets the root, not just the symptoms
Instead of just managing anxiety or depression, EMDR helps heal the underlying wounds causing them—so you can finally feel free.
Results happen faster than traditional therapy
Many clients notice meaningful change within weeks, not years. EMDR is evidence-based and proven effective for trauma, anxiety, and PTSD.

Meet Iya Jackson, EMDR-Trained Therapist
I'm Iya Jackson, an EMDR-trained therapist serving clients across Colorado. With over 10 years of experience working with individuals and families navigating trauma, anxiety, and emotional overwhelm, I bring a grounded, compassionate approach to healing.
I specialize in helping people who've done therapy before but haven't experienced the deep healing they were hoping for. If you're tired of just managing your pain and ready to actually heal it, EMDR therapy can help you get there.
My approach is:
Trauma-informed and paced with your comfort in mind
Focused on lasting change, not just symptom management
Rooted in trust, safety, and genuine connection
You've already shown incredible courage by seeking help before. Now let's finish what you started.
What to Expect in EMDR Therapy
Step 1: We Start Where You Are
In your first session, we'll talk about what brings you to therapy, your history, and what you hope to heal. No pressure, no judgment—just understanding.
Step 2: We Build Safety and Preparation
Before diving into trauma processing, we'll make sure you feel grounded and safe. You'll learn techniques to manage difficult emotions that may come up.
Step 3: We Process the Wounds
Using EMDR's bilateral stimulation, we'll work through traumatic memories at a pace that feels right for you. You'll notice the emotional charge starting to lift.
Step 4: You Experience Lasting Change
As the trauma gets reprocessed, you'll feel lighter. Triggers lose their power. The past stays in the past. You start showing up differently in your life.
Step 5: You Move Forward
Once the deep wounds are healed, we'll focus on building the life you want—rooted in clarity, confidence, and peace.

I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate (application pending) working under licensed supervision. I receive weekly consultation to ensure high-quality care and client growth. Clients often appreciate the thoughtfulness and fresh perspective that come with this stage of clinical practice. I earned a master’s degree in public health in 2014, and I have been working with this population for more than 10 years post-graduation.
I support teens, young adults, and families navigating trauma, mental health challenges, identity shifts, and recovery from self-harm or substance use. Many of my clients are working through family conflict, chronic stress, or a sense of disconnection during major life transitions.
